When in North Conway
NOTE: North Conway is a popular destination for tax-free outlet shopping, dining, and lodging. There can sometimes be traffic congestion for those who travel Route 16 through Conway and North Conway in July and August. However, since construction of the North-South Road, which runs from the light by Wal-Mart on Route 302 to Kearsarge St. in North Conway, traffic along the "strip" has been moving very smoothly, with the exception of rainy days when many people go shopping!

To access the North-South Road from Route 16 while heading north, turn right just after Burger King at the bottom of the "strip." At the second light, turn left onto the North-South Road. At the end of the North-South Road, turn left. At the light at the bottom of the street, turn right back onto Routes 16 and 302. Story Land is 6 miles north of North Conway on Route 16.

The construction of improvements to Route 16, mainly in North Conway village, are scheduled for completion early this summer. The road crews and traffic managers do a wonderful job of keeping the cars flowing smoothly, and we'll have a terrific new roadway very soon when the work is completed. A little road improvement can't take away from a load of family fun!

NEW IN 2007: Village Trolley is a new service with numerous scheduled stops daily at Story Land from North Conway, so you can leave your car at your motel and ride the trolley to the park for $2 per person each way.
